Sourced from the hills surrounding Kodaikanal, it has a strong aroma and is sweet and creamy. This honey goes well with as spread on bread and Chappathi.
This is the honey from the Apis dorsata, quite simply the largest of the honey bees, and arguably the most vicious. These wild bees build their hives in colonies below rocky cliffs or trunks of giant trees. They defend their colonies with aggression and collecting honey from them is a dangerous task, and not for the unskilled or faint hearted.
